The MMBBA Professional Development Program is a leadership development program for emerging leaders working in the residential mortgage lending industry. The program provides opportunities for future leaders to develop advanced industry expertise, have access to direct mentor opportunities with local industry leaders, meet and collaborate with peers, build leadership skills, and participate in the MMBBA. Tomorrow's game-changing executives are today's Future Leaders, and this program provides the connections and exposure needed to take the next step in advancing their careers.
- Have less than 15 years of industry experience
- Be in an entry to mid-level management position
- Commit to attend the 2019 MARC Conference
- Commit to serve on at least one MMBBA committee
Candidates must register online. The cost to participate is $49 per person (includes all sessions, refreshments and materials; does not include discounted registration fee for MARC Conference and other MMBBA events).
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program. To receive a certificate of completion, candidates are required to attend the MARC (Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference), attend at least 80% of the sessions, and participate on at least one MMBBA Committee.
Each session will focus on a specific topic and feature speakers who will share their insights about their role within the industry. All sessions will be held at the MBIA (Maryland Building Industry Association) offices at 11825 W. Market Place, Fulton, MD 20759 from 9 to 10:30am as noted.
SESSION I: Executive Perspectives

A panel of executive leaders will explain and share their thoughts on C-level decisions and strategies, and their thoughts on the future of mortgage banking.
SESSION 2: Undesign the Red Line
February 14, 2019

This interactive exhibit explores the history of redlining from 1938 until today with a focus on key fair lending topics including disparate impact and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
SESSION 3: The Secondary Market
March 12, 2019 @ MBIA
What is a service released premium? Learn how loans are sold on the secondary market. Investor account executive will explain their roles from both a correspondent and wholesale perspective.
SESSION 4: MARC Conference
